Thanks to Google Bid Simulator you no longer need to choose your Adwords bids by trial and error. Now, you can actually arm yourself with real information to determine your maximum CPC (cost per click). The Bid Simulator uses data from the past seven days and simulates the number of impressions, CTR’s (click-through rate) , and cost. No more guesstimating!

Let’s say your advertising campaign includes a keyword  with a maximum CPC (cost per click) bid of $2.00. You are curious about the results you might get with a bid of $2.50 or $1.50. The bid simulator enables you to see the clicks, cost and impressions you would have gotten with these other bids over the last seven days.

Cool, right?! Give it a try!

To use the bid simulator for your keywords, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Navigate to the Keywords tab.
  3. In the Max. CPC column, click the bid simulator icon Bid simulator icon next to the bid. (If the icon isn’t visible, no estimates are available.)
