in blogging, search engine optimization

I’m honored to be speaking at BlogPaws™ 2010 in Columbus, Ohio this April 9 & 10th.

Now ’speaking’ isn’t exactly my cup of tea (I’d much rather be doing), but this conference just sounded like too much fun to miss out on. Come on, it’s called BlogPaws, for heaven sakes!

If you are reading this blog post, then you know that I am a SEO consultant by day. What you might not know, is that I’m a pet blogger by night. I publish a local website called RichmondPetLovers.com and a sister blog called RichmondDogs.com. And yes, I’m crazy about pets and animals!

BlogPaws™ is a brand new organization created specifically for the online pet community. Their mission is to create a resource for learning, networking and fun. BlogPaws provides insights and information on a variety of topics, from design and SEO to content creation and photography, that will help you be a better blogger, whether you are in it for fun or for profit.

I’ll be sitting in on the search engine optimization (SEO) panel along with Ellen Burgan, Project Manager of Drs. Foster and Smith Pet Blog and Stephan Spencer, VP of SEO Strategies at Covario. We will be sharing  real, practical advice and tips and habits for optimizing your blog for the search engines.

There is a fantastic lineup of additional sessions and keynote speakers including Animal Planet’s Andrea Arden, dog etiquette expert Charlotte Redd, co-founder of BlogHer, Elisa Camahort Page and PurinaCare Blogger, Dr. Larry McDaniel, DVM.

There will also be plenty of fun contests, sweepstakes, promotions, and nuts and bolts!

You can even bring your pets with you!

If you haven’t registered yet, go to www.BlogPaws.com and sign up. You can also enter the BlogPaws or Bust Sweepstakes to win a free trip!

Hope to see you there!
